WATER INNOVATION: BRIDGING GAPS, CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

On the framework of Porto Water Innovation Week (PWIW), from September 24 – 30, the ICT4Water cluster has reached an important impact delivering high quality knowledge in several activities, workshops and presentations. Cluster members had the opportunity of create synergies, expose results and build networking among more than 1000 water innovators. Following summary of the several most relevant activities conducted. The presentations that were given at the various events are available for download at the bottom of this page.

September 26th, 2017

The ICT4Water cluster participated on the following side events:

  • Workshop SMART WATER MONITORING “What low-cost sensors solutions for high efficiency water monitoring networks”. Coorganized by Ctrl+SWAN Action Group in collaboration with theH2020 PROTEUS project and the Ict4Water cluster.
  • Workshop “Action Plan towards Digital Single Market for Water Services, ICT4Water cluster approach”

EIP Water Conference 2017, “Water Innovation: Bridging Gaps, Creating Opportunities”, presentations performed on the main conference:

  • Wastewater – source of bioenergy and clean water: The All-Gas and Incover demonstration projects
  • Green, nature-based water infrastructure: The EIP Water “NatureWAT” Action Group and the AquaNES project.
  • Digital solutions for water policies from the ICT4Water cluster
  • How serious gaming and social media increases citizen engagement
  • Curving the line to accelerated resource recovery: the Life Memory, INCOVER and RUN4LIFE projects, and a closer look at resource recovery factories
  • Uniting universities, research labs, local government and the private sector in the MAR network in Italy
  • EASME poster session, Most of the ICT4Water cluster members presented their poster in the session

DG RTD /EASME Side Event “Boosting Research & Innovation in the Water Sector: The Impact of EU-funded actions
Participants have shared their achievements and experiences in very creative and proactive environment. Key enabling factors and barriers for research and innovation actions to reach the market, as well as to support policy making were discussed together with relevant stakeholders such as, investors, regulators, policy makers, innovation hubs, industrial partners and SMEs. The ICT4Water cluster participated in the following activities:
